Revisiting my blog

<deep breath> Wow....it's been a while I didn't write and even viewed my own blog....I'm so sorry dear blog...for abandoning you for sooo long!

I started to recall my own blog, when a friend asking me to do flower arrangement for her and I answered I have a flower blog you know. But I have to think for a day to recall my own blog link....and from the flower blog...it leads me back to here....et cetera!

I read back what I have wrote and smile at some.... :) I don't know how to describe my feelings...but one thing for sure is....I have grown and moved on since my last post here. How time flies....we're in 2013....and 2013 is going to leave soon too.

Where I've been and what I have done all these while? Hhhhmmm.... let me put them down in a list here while I recollect my memories.

- July 2011: Quit my job of 4 years and rested for few months. Its a good break to just wind down and relax at home....but not long, I've started worrying of not being able to get a new job. Aikkss...

- September 2011: Had a short stint working as a florist at a well-known company. This company caters for flower arrangements ordered by hotels, offices and functions such as weddings, birthdays and product launching. Working here had really 'opened' my eyes and see for myself the behind-the-scenes of working as a florist. Its really a tough job and long hours, despite being surrounded with beautiful flowers. My colleagues were awesome and I get to learn from very good seniors

-November 2011: Went to Perth... yay!! Spring time in Perth and Margaret Rivers. A very good holiday and also a long awaited one. Came home and project baby started as planned :) I've stopped drinking coffee and started to take folic acid supplement in preparation of getting a baby

- November 15 2011: Started a new job in a publishing company. Publishing field again....but this time the company is much smaller and the hours are not as hectic as previous job

- July 2012: False alarm. Thought myself pregnant but in the end a blood test confirmed I'm not. Earlier I was crying like crazy as I thought I had a miscarriage.... what an emotional roller-coaster ride! No more using the digital pregnancy tester! It's a branded one but I got a faulty result. Just stick to the normal tester.

- August 2012: Received the good news!! I was confirmed pregnant :) When checked, I've already into 6 weeks of pregnancy (hope I remembered correctly, oopppss!). Expected due in early May 2013. The rest of the months: coping with morning sickness, coping with the 'new' me and busy preparing for the arrival of our first baby

- May 1st 2013: Our beautiful baby boy has arrived! What a clever boy....to choose Labor Day as the birth day! Well, baby Ming really gives mummy to 'enjoy' labor day and he gets a day off on every birth day from now on. No excuse for papa and mummy to forget your birthday!

- October 2013: Well, Oct is coming to an end now, and coming Nov 1, baby Ming will be 6 months old! Mummy is very excited to prepare and feed you with your very first solid! Mummy's been reading and searching online for various recipes.

As another year is approaching fast, I hope it will be a good one, or even better than 2013. New year will be different for me now as I have baby Ming in my life. I certainly looking forward each day to see him grows and to enjoy every moment I spend with him. I've never set any resolution for new year. It's not that I don't have anything to achieve, but I always reminded myself what I want to achieve by certain time frame. I didn't write them out on paper, instead I remember them in my heart :)

Melaka One Day Trip

Melaka – full with characters and stories... will definitely visit again for more photos moment! But have to choose non-public holidays to avoid the massive traffic.

Love the arch walkway. I've waited for no people passing by to grab this shot

The old school coffee shop, where we rested while it rained and enjoyed our tea break. This is the same coffee shop where I had my breakfast few years ago – visiting Melaka for the first time with ex-colleagues

The simple pleasure of life... toasted tuna and sardine sandwiches to munch away while sipping hot coffee on a drizzling day

There were lots of people, but I waited and managed to grab this clean photo with just the family with the colorful umbrella!

Colorful trishaws, colorful shirt with bargaining in the process

Display lamp in one of the shops along Jonker Street... added one of my favorite quotes :)

Colorful building + colorful people = so many stories to tell

Nice architecture and details

Old/past story waiting to be told to any faithful listener

This uncle really mesmerize me... he seems to have so many stories to share... and I salute his patience and perseverance

Lanterns and hats for sale

Love this cafe's look, but too bad it was closed that day. Will definitely visit one day and try the food there and check out the interior

I like this building! I jumped with joy when saw this and made Weng to stand there for me to snap photo. Well, the attention is not on him... but the orang utan :)

Passing by the same coffee shop (where we had our tea break)... on our way back to get our car as dusk setting in

The famous chicken rice ball restaurant. We had our dinner there before proceed to get our car and starts our journey back home

Our simple dinner which we ate very fast (guess we were very hungry with all the walking)
